I recently lost the ability to capture video from my DV camera into Vegas. This has worked fine for years. This problem happened immediately after i ran the software program CC cleaner and deleted files from my computer. CC Cleaner removes "junk" files. I am unable to restore the CC Cleaner deleted files. I have used system restore to a prior date with no success. When i connect my camera to my computer i get the "found new hardware" message asking for a driver. I never had a driver with the camera, i even contacted the camera manufacturer, there is no driver. I am using Windows XP Media Center edition OS, 3GB RAM with firewire connecting to my Panasonic mini DV camera. Any guidance on how to restore my capture function will be much appreciated.
